Rising from the Ashes

via Daily Prompt: Smoke

My  heart was on fire, I was full of love for you. After you left, the tears that rained down from my eyes began to put the fire out. Eventually I was left with just embers and a tiny plume of smoke. Finally, the smoke cleared and my heart was empty. The fire was out and so were you.

For so long the ashes that remained were a reminder of you. Not anymore, a new flame is sparking and soon there will be a fire.

About geminilvr

I have been through many relationships in my life, most long term, and they have all shaped who I am in some way. I try to find humor through the pain and heartbreak and find the strength to do it all over again. My blog is sprinkled with past relationships, current status and thoughts on it all! I hope my experiences make you smile, laugh or cry along with me and relate to the complexity that is life, my life, perfectly imperfect.

Can’t tell a lie, I miss the posts from before you told He Who Shan’t Be Named
about the blog, when they were fun, and you were talking about your life. Since then every post seems to be indirect (not really indirect)
talks to/for him. Rah rah rah I’m a great person, rah rah rah you’re missing
out on a good thing, rah rah rah I threw out your shirt, rah rah rah I would take you back. You’re Advertising. Girl, why?

My blog is not directed at one person but it is a reflection of who I am at a certain time in my life. I’ve overcome a lot and I reflect on who I am and how I am feeling. Right now I am my biggest cheerleader and I’m proud of it. I’m healing and learning and hopefully inspiring others too. I appreciate everyone’s opinion even if I don’t agree with them or they with me.

I like your line…the fire was out and so were you…classic. As for the comment about your blog changing…everyone’s blog changes at some point. Mine changed from self discovery and trying to work some issues in my life at that time to what it is now …motivating and inspiring others…and I’m sure as time goes on it will evolve again based on life . The same has happened and will happen to you. It’s called growth. There is no shame in that.
